Bill called me on December 22nd to console me on the loss of our dear mother and inform me he had Bells Palsy, therefore, he would not be able to attend mom's funeral. However, The Whitehead Family would be sending a flower and praying for our family. Bill seems to always be thinking of others in spite of whatever was going on in his life at the time. He had a gracious calmness that was a spirit lifter to anyone that talked with him. Thank God for the short time Bill was a part of my life. Another brave solider gone to rest.... He will truly be missed.

Here-at this final hour we have come to bid farewell to one of the most caring and generous man that I have ever met. "Uncle Bill we can't believe you are gone" Bill was a man of GOD, he was a man that loved his family and his community. Bill was a very active force in his community. He was the past President of the local chapter of the NAACP. He was a man that was very passionate about the treatment of all people.
